Making waves on the high sea, this opulent vessel was created at full speed in just eight months. Designed to reflect the owner’s vision of tranquillity and style, Asani – the latest addition to Benetti’s B.Now 50M superyacht family – features curated art, bespoke furnishings and innovative spaces.
“With yacht design, every detail must not only reflect aesthetic beauty but also endure the rigours of marine life,” says Marie Soliman, the co-founder and creative director of London-based Bergman Design House, with her husband Albin Berglund. “Unlike a residential setting, where space is typically fixed, a yacht demands a meticulous balance of compact layouts and multi-functional areas. The synergy of interior and exterior spaces becomes paramount, as clients seek not just a home on water, but a seamless life experience amidst the waves.”

To achieve this flow between inside and out, the design team started with the selection of textures, colours and art. They focused, in particular, on creating harmony and introducing subtle nods to nature and the ocean. “We hand-picked materials that complement each other and reflect the yacht’s surroundings,” says Soliman.
For example, elements in crisp foam white and fresh slate blues echo the natural hues found in the marine environment. A mesmerising and calming cloud art piece by Elmgreen & Dragset adorns the main living space, where a dining area comprises a table for up to 12 people. Soft fabrics, polished woods, buttery leather and ceramics add depth and interest, mirroring the yacht’s dynamic exterior lines.
“Each piece celebrates either reflection, flow or movement, bringing energy to all the spaces,” says Soliman. “Craftsmanship is the hallmark of opulence. Take straw marquetry, for instance – what might seem like a humble, natural material transforms into sheer luxury when artfully arranged by hand. The result is a dazzling display of shimmer, captivating the eye and elevating the ambience.”
Harmonious décor meets natural light by way of thick cast glass used throughout every space. A Mattia Bonetti coffee table from David Gill Gallery features gleaming effects, while the striking Jallu Ebénistes games table by Nusom is a showcase for marquetry in an unexpected setting. Lighting by Holly Hunt and rugs designed by Soliman's studio (and manufactured by Colbourns) further complement an impressive collection of artworks by Gilles Caffier, Unit 89 and Sougwen Chung, among others.
“At the core of both residential and superyacht designs lies a shared philosophy: the creation of spaces that celebrate connection and comfort,” explains Soliman. “It is always a matter of nurturing relationships, enriching life and creating joyful and personal spaces that foster togetherness, whether through intimate dining areas or expansive lounges crafted for leisurely gatherings.”
Case in point: the outdoor living areas of Asani that act as extensions of the interior. “The balcony with the outdoor shower – which is part of the owner’s suite that also has a generous bathroom in Calcutta marble – is one of my favourites!” Soliman says. Four guest cabins – all with their own private bathrooms – six cabins for 10 crew members, plus the captain’s cabin provide plenty of space on board.
Benetti’s signature Oasis Deck provides 116 square metres of waterside sanctuary with a 270-degree view astern and from the lounge. Wings extend from the stern platform, creating extra space, and an infinity pool is an incredible place from which to take in the sea views. Steps lead up to the raised section with a bar and a relaxation space with sofas, armchairs and a coffee table. On the sun deck, the Jacuzzi with panoramic vistas is the cherry on the cake. Finally, a double hydraulic hatch on the starboard side gives access to the large garage on the main deck that can fit two jet skis and tenders. Blending high functionality and luxury, this exceptionally designed superyacht is ready for its many upcoming dream voyages.
